Over 11,000 visitors attend Revival Festival
The Ingliston Revival Festival weekend has been heralded a huge success as historic Ingliston Circuit hosted the first competitive motoring event in over 20 years.
Despite a damp start to proceedings on Saturday morning, over 11,000 spectators came to see 68 beautiful classic vehicles compete on the track with more cars on display across the event. Visitors soaked up the atmosphere across the weekend, with new additions to the 2017 Revival including the cinema, vintage fun fair and much extended retail village all very well received, with positive feedback from customers and event contributors.
Paul Swift’s stunt team wowed the crowds in his Italian Job inspired classic stunt show whilst BTCC legend John Cleland entertained visitors at the event after arriving in a mock gold heist at the Revival dinner, with the action across the weekend being narrated by commentators Paul O’Neill and Joe Tanner.
Event Director Sandy Bloomer said “I am very proud of the development of the Ingliston Revival project and the entire team has worked tirelessly for months to deliver our vision for the future of Ingliston. Feedback is essential to growing the event and what we have heard already from our valued customers reassures us that the Ingliston Revival is growing in the right direction.
I was delighted to announce at the Revival dinner that The Revival Festival will become an annual event and we look forward to welcoming everyone to a bigger and better Revival next year”.
Keep an eye out on the Ingliston website for photos and videos being added over the coming days.
From the entire events team, thank you to everyone for coming and the fantastic and constructive feedback from our guests.
See you next year on 12th & 13th May 2018!
